Hello there!
It’s been a little while since I’ve done an update and right now is the perfect time! I’ve got a lot to say this time around.
“PLAGROUND: CHILD OF DIVORCE” EBOOK PREORDER + PAPERBACK & HARDCOVER DATES
The wait is almost over.
The highly anticipated prequel to my viral/highly controversial novel Playground titled Playground: Child of Divorce will officially be released on 8/15/25 in both paperback and eBook formats. Amazon will be the place to go for these versions.
While Preorder isn’t available for paperback, it is already available for the eBook version! Click the button below to log your preorder right now:
In the event you forgot what the book was about, here is a synopsis:
EVERY PLAYGROUND HAS A PROTOTYPE
Geraldine Borden has realized that there's one thing her bottomless wealth can't grant her: children. When an attempt to remedy her infertility fails, she's left with nothing but rage, jealousy, and a murderous idea. She aims to take a place that all children adore and transform it into a twisted arena of carnage. And while her true masterpiece is still under construction, she seeks to entertain herself with a crude prototype filled with barbaric backyard games.
Several children from a small New England city have gone missing under mysterious circumstances. This group of kids—who once believed fractured family and teen angst were their toughest battles—now have a whole new set of problems. With no parents to guide them, will the children thrust into Geraldine's nightmare world have the grit and determination to escape? Or will they fall victim to their sadistic captor?
The much-anticipated prequel to Aron Beauregard's controversial book Playground revisits some of the author's most reprehensible characters. It includes 18 interior illustrations and pushes the limits of incendiary literature even further.
“PLAYGROUND: CHILD OF DIVORCE” DELUXE HARDCOVER PREORDER DETAILS
I have an amazing deluxe hardcover package that I’m getting ready to drop the full details on in a couple more weeks. For the summer release of Playground: Child of Divorce I’m going ALL OUT at ABHorror.com. I’m going to have a stunning double cover deluxe hardcover along with a couple of shirts and hats. This is going to be the biggest release I’ve ever had.
The deluxe hardcover preorder begins on 7/18/25 and the packages are expected to ship about ten days the preorder launches. So, if you are ordering the deluxe hardcover bundle, you will be reading the book anywhere from 1-2 weeks before the official wide release of the paperback & eBook versions.
Thank you all to everyone who has supported Playground and pushed it out from the darkness of the underground somewhat into the mainstream. I appreciate each and every one of you!
Let’s shock the world again!
But in the meantime . . .

“THE UGLY TRUTH” AUDIOBOOK RELEASE
It is with great pleasure that I formally announce that “The Ugly Truth” is here! Narrated by the masterful Chuck Brugee, this nasty treat features 3 interconnected stories about lying and deception. One by me, two more by horror legends John Skipp & Shane McKenzie. The book comes in at about 5 hours and 40 minutes run time and features what some are calling one of the most shocking scenes I’ve written! This is available on Audible, Apple Books, and Amazon right now!

RESPECTING READERS & REVIEWERS
This is a piece that I wrote on 6/23/25 regarding the poor treatment I’ve seen regarding readers and reviewers online. I’ve added a couple of tweaks to it, but I feel very strongly about this topic. I was compelled to write it after realizing how tired I’ve grown of watching authors (usually new ones) bust onto the scene with this absurd sense of entitlement.
This is directed in no one in particular but rather an overall trend I’ve noticed in the last few years with some of these authors. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’ve made tons of mistakes when I was new to the game and even later in my career—I even did a podcast that lasted many episodes with 3 other horror authors that was dedicated to discussing our fuckups and trying to help others avoid going down that same path. But one mistake I never made was coming after readers and reviewers. To me, this has always been common sense.
Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.
Also, I’m not a narcissist . . . I know I’m a flawed human being. Just because I write books doesn’t make me special.
Some release a book or two and think they know it all. They thought their story was the next Pet Sematary, and that the soulless A.I. cover that they invested nothing into was going to make them an instant darling.
Then reality hits. They run out of friends and family to upload reviews and maybe a few people who are actually opinionated get their hands on the book. And when people start unloading their critiques, they’re not ready. Not only are they not ready, but they are also devastated.
Over the years I’ve seen authors posting reviews that are actually pretty good and complaining about readers not giving feedback as to why it wasn’t a 5-star read. How dare they just rate something? Or others wondering how the readers are so stupid and don’t understand their story. Allow me to clear this up real quick.
READERS DON’T OWE AUTHORS SHIT.
And if these authors are not comfortable with people criticizing their “art” then don’t put it out there. And if you’re going to get all wound up because someone misconstrued a character or a plot, you may as well throw in the towel now—you’re not gonna last. Furthermore, if someone didn’t understand something that should be a learning point not the spark that creates an argument.
I’ve written/released some pieces that are incredibly personal to me. People have shit all over them. I never cried on social media about it. Do you know why?
Not everyone is supposed to like them.
Not everyone is supposed to understand them.
Not everyone is supposed to relate to them.
And also, maybe some of them just kinda sucked 😂 (at least to those persons who felt that way).
If you go to my Goodreads right now and have a look at the reviews, talk about extreme horror, haha! The public has executed me over and over again—and continues to. Some of the stuff written is literally libelous. But I’m not going to whine about it because:
A. I’m not sensitive/don’t care
B. It’s not going to change anything.
C. THEY ARE ENTITLED TO SAY WHATEVER THE FUCK THEY WANT (outside of the libelous 😂)
D. Arguing online in general LOSES readers, and arguing with readers, well . . . that LOSES EVEN MORE READERS
Plus, it’s just pathetic and petty.
Now did I speak up once when people were making countless death threats to me . . . Sure. If that’s the case, I believe an author should use their platform to DEFEND themselves. But what I would never do is use my platform to attack.
Now this is just my opinion, but I’ve been writing for a living for over 3 years now, so I think it’s a decent one.
I want to thank all of my readers. You guys and gals are amazing. Even if you didn’t like certain books or stories, I appreciate you giving me the time of day. I appreciate you giving me a shot. So many of you have fueled this wild ride and I can’t wait to see where it goes next.
