Hello friends,

As the holiday season continues, I hope all of you are well. I just had a cold that kicked my fuckin’ ass for about two weeks. The shit I was hacking up and blowing out of my nose in the shower would make for some good gross bits of writing…

But have no fear, I was working through the entire ordeal. And now that I’m nearly at 100% again, I feel ready to give some updates!

PIZZA FACE AUDIOBOOK IS OUT NOW!

Ah, good ol’ Pizza Face. This was a really fun book to write. I remember sitting at work—a job that left me stressed and a moment in my life where I was dealing with some really dark shit—and escaping.

This book was written before most anyone, outside of a few friends and family members, had read any of my work. And I have to say, when revisiting the stories, it was interesting to hear them again. Usually, when I look back at my older work, I see so many flaws and tend to focus on the negative. But this was different. I enjoyed the project and remembering what kind of writer I was when I penned these five stories of mutation. I had a feeling of gratefulness in knowing what I came from and evolved into. And some of the characters in this book I truly enjoyed revisiting.

Pizza Face is also the first book where I used Anton Rosovsky as my cover artist. In some ways he was the missing link for me. I would go on to redo the four books I released before Pizza Face with his artwork, and from there, I never looked back.

I’m grateful to be releasing one of my foundational books in audio format. Pizza Face explores a wide variety of themes. Rejection, fear, selfishness, shame, and love, to name a few. For those with a taste for the wicked and disgusting, this should be a day to rejoice. I cannot thank you all enough for supporting my journey and helping my career continue to blossom.

This book is insane.

It’s novel length with the paperback coming in over 300 pages. This book is disgusting, disturbing, heartfelt, intense, and maybe most interestingly, unique. Here is the official blurb:

This book is going to be a wild one. I think fans of Playground, Yellow, Wedding Day Massacre, and The Slob will all enjoy this one for different reasons. There’s a lot more I have to say about this book, but I will save some things for the upcoming weeks as we inch close to the release. But this isn’t the only release…

THROUGH THE EYES OF DESPERATION - THE BLACK VERSION

Yes, there is a second book which is a completely different novel written by Splatterpunk Award-winner Daniel J. Volpe.

My MC (Red) will appear in Dan’s book and his MC (Cee) will appear in mine. There will be a few overlapping moments, but rest assured these books both have COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORIES.

But, for the optimal reading experience, we recommend reading them together as Dan and I have implanted many Easter eggs into both of the books. These small side items may be mentioned in one book and more details are revealed in the other. Still, these novels were written and designed (for over a year we worked on these) so they can be READ IN ANY ORDER AND ALSO INDEPENDENTLY.

So, if you were to only read one, you would still get a complete and fulfilling story. But should you choose to read both, you will be rewarded with these little bonuses.

Then there are the endings…

I don’t say endings because there’s one in each book, but because they’re TWO IN EACH BOOK. And I don’t mean a couple of quick, three-page endings. I mean two completely fleshed-out, different directions that the story can go based on YOU.

What I mean by based on YOU, is that, in each of the books comes a point where we break the 4th wall. Where we ask the reader to participate in the outcome of the book, by flipping a coin or the commutative Shadows casino chip that Dan and I will be offering with the limited hardcover bundles. And based on your flip, the story trajectory in each of the books will shift.

I’m beyond excited to release these books! We should have some major announcements coming at the start of the new year and I look forward to sharing them with you!
