Hello Friends!
After a long overdue vacation, I’m back and doing what I love most. I’ve got some exciting news to share with you, and a little behind the scenes stuff.
FALL BOOK TOUR!
Yes, I’m doing a lot of signings in the near future! Here is a full list of them (one more might be getting added at the end of October):
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1ST - The first event is called “Little Pop Up Shop of Horrors Part 3” hosted at Buttonwoods Brewery by PVD Horror. It will take place this Sunday, 10/1 in Cranston, RI. As you can see below, this is the third time this event has happened and I’ve been a part of all 3. These have all been highly successful and super fun. There’s all kinds spooky seasonal vendors, horror authors, filmmakers, and awesome stuff.
At this event I will be joining up with Kristopher Triana—the award-winning author of GONE TO SEE THE RIVERMAN—once again! Photo evidence of prior encounters below. Yes, I’m dressed like eggs in the first photo. This is primarily because Kris hates eggs…
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7TH - I will be heading to Annapolis, MD to do a signing at Barnes & Noble. I’m excited to say that I will be joined by my good friends Kristopher Triana and Daniel J. Volpe, as well as Ronald Malfi (the author of COME WITH ME) who I was grateful to meet at the Splatterpunk Awards in Austin, TX earlier this year. I’m very much looking forward to this signing and hanging out afterwards!
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, OCTOBER 14TH-15TH - I will be back at Monstah Xpo which will be held in Taunton, MA. Yes, like last year, I will be attending this event with Daniel J. Volpe. Despite Dan using a squatty potty at my house for the first time, and in turn releasing a deep-rooted stench in my poo room, I still had an awesome time with Dan last year. While his fecal matter still lingers a tad, I’m looking forward to the annual stench returning full force.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21ST - The second annual Spooky Fall Festival is going down at Rocky Point State Park! All kinds of vendors (over 200) and this one is great fun for the family too! I will be doing this one with John Lynch (author of The Warrior Retreat). We did another event earlier this year that was also a blast!
Special thanks to Mike Wright for being the meat between this manwich.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22ND - This signing will be at Rarities Bookstore in Wakefield, RI. This quaint and cozy store is a big supporter of local authors. I will be signing here with the always gothic Christa Carmen (author of Daughters of Block Island). Looking forward to signing here with Christa from 10 am - 2 pm!
This photo is of myself and Christa Carmen at a Rarities Bookstore signing earlier this year. (Gage Greenwood and Joshua Rex also attended this event.)
VACATION JOURNAL
I’m finally back from vacation! I have to say it was LONG overdue. The thing about being fortunate enough to do what you love for a living, is that it’s easy to get sucked in. I was also suffering from SEVERE social media burnout. While I’m extremely grateful that social media has been so good to me, the negative aspects—even when ignored—can sometimes be a bit much.
But after a trip across the country to visit my extended family, I’m wholly refreshed. And as with any kind of extended travel, I’ve returned invigorated and with a slew of additional inspirations.
The Museum of Death and Medieval Torture Museum were great stops on the trip. The former of which I wrote about in my very first book Try the New Candy.
We also went to Disneyland. While I’m not a huge fan of Disney, spending time with the family was great. And just the experience of being inside a mega theme park really gets the horror wheels turning. I LOVE THEME PARK HORROR. Maybe I’ll write some in the future.
Before I left for the trip, I was also thankful to have a few other interactions with friends. My boy Daddi Bace and JP both had birthday gatherings recently. It isn’t often that we are all able to hangout, so this was a great time.
Daddi Bace is a close friend of mine as evidenced by the below photos. We’ve shared laughs, cries, alcohol, drugs, and even clown-men.
Prior to leaving for vacation, I also had a house guest. One of my top writing inspirations—Shane McKenzie—came to stay with me for a few days. We had a great time talking with Kristopher Triana about the writing business and the state of horror, hanging out in the pool like three stools in a toilet, and watching awful movies. Networking is an important aspect of the writing business. If I hadn’t gone to KillerCon in Austin, TX this might not have been possible. Get out there and mingle if you can!
After working in film for some time, Shane will continue his journey. But he is also ready to release some books as well! I’d strongly recommend subscribing to his free newsletter “All You Can Eat.” Click the button below to stay updated and entertained!
FUTURE EXCITEMENT
I’d also like to say that I’ve got some release announcements coming in the near future. It’s a little too early to get into it now but I can confirm that I will have at least one more solo release and one more collaborative release by the end of 2023.
It’s been a hell of a year, and I couldn’t be more thankful. One thing is for sure; I have some stories that I’m DYING to tell. If they could just appear as finished products that would be amazing but that’s not storytelling. Storytelling takes time and deep thought—there are no shortcuts.
But as long as the universe allows me to continue to exist, I’m going to horrify. It’s what I was born to do. It’s what makes me tick. And boy, do I have some shit in store for you :)
UNTIL NEXT TIME… KEEP IT 100% HORROR!

Looking forward to the signings, and taking monster shits at your house
Theme park horror would be awesome. There could be so much gore. Even beyond the rides when it comes to the smaller games like the water gun game could shoot acid at people lined up and the prizes could be stuffed dead critters. Haha i know you can come up with way better ideas! Are you guys considering doing a signing in Ohio sometime?
